Behind the articles
Editorial policy
Our guides and blog help readers choose an email address, troubleshoot delivery, and test their own applications. This is how we prepare that guidance.
Who publishes this content
TempGenerator publishes the guides and blog alongside its temporary inbox and tools, which are described on our about page. The “TempGenerator editorial” byline identifies the site as the publisher; it does not imply an independent expert, a named research team, or endorsement by the services we discuss.
We use software assistance, including AI, to help draft and organize content. The site's publisher is responsible for what appears here. An automatically generated draft is not evidence that a feature works or that an offer is available.
Sources and examples
For provider requirements and technical behavior, we prefer the provider's own documentation, published standards, and official support pages. Links are included where they support a claim or help you take the next step. A link does not mean a provider sponsors or endorses TempGenerator.
Worked examples, sample addresses, and invented test records are labeled as illustrations. They are not customer stories, measurements of delivery speed, or proof of compatibility. Checklists describe what you can verify yourself; they do not claim that we have tested every service, device, or email client.
Provider rules can change after publication. Check the linked official instructions before depending on an account feature, verification method, discount, or eligibility requirement.
What we cover
We explain legitimate, low-sensitivity uses of temporary email and when a permanent mailbox, forwarding alias, or local mail-capture tool is a better choice. Our guides cover common decisions; the blog adds reusable worksheets and focused walkthroughs. The help text on our tool pages, such as each random picker’s notes and the address generator’s answers, follows this same policy.
A temporary inbox cannot establish student status, guarantee access to a service, or remove another provider's eligibility and account rules. We do not present repeated trial registrations or bypassing those rules as a benefit of this tool.
Dates and corrections
Articles show their publication date. Guides show when they were first published and, after a later review, when they were last updated. Those dates describe the content, not a guarantee that every linked service remains unchanged.
Found an error? Send the page URL, the passage that needs attention, and a supporting source through our contact page. We can then check the claim and correct the page. Do not send passwords, verification codes, or private inbox contents.
Advertising and recommendations
Advertising, when enabled, is restricted to editorial article pages. The inbox and message-reading interface do not load our AdSense advertising tag. Ads do not establish that we recommend an advertised product. See our privacy policy for information about advertising and data handling.
