Up to 10 MiB per file · 25 MiB and 30 transfers per session · 15 minutes (extendable to 60)
Send a link, a note or a file in seconds
Move a meeting link from your laptop to your phone, or photos and screenshots the other way. Both devices only need a browser and an internet connection: no shared Wi-Fi, no app and no account.
How to share between your phone and computer in 3 steps
Start a session
Choose Start a sharing session on either device. It lasts 15 minutes, and the device that started it can add time, up to one hour.
Connect the other device
Scan the QR code with its camera, open the connection link, or open this page there and type the 6-character code. The code works until one device connects.
Send, then copy or download
Type a note, paste a link or add files and send. On the other device, copy the text, view image previews, or download files one by one or all at once as a zip.
What you can send
Notes and links up to 16 KiB, and files up to 10 MiB each: photos, screenshots, PDFs, documents or anything else. A session holds 25 MiB and 30 transfers. Send several files at once, see image previews, and download everything as one zip. Longer text is sent as a .txt file.
Works on any network, without an app or account
Both devices just need a browser and internet access. Unlike AirDrop or local-network tools, they do not have to be on the same Wi-Fi: a phone on mobile data and a laptop on office Wi-Fi work fine. Once an upload finishes, the sending device can close the page.
How long things stay and who can see them
A session lasts 15 minutes; the device that started it can add time, up to one hour. When it ends, or is ended, its files and messages are deleted. Each device can unsend its own items at any time, and only one other device can join. Transfers are stored on our server and are not end-to-end encrypted, so do not use this for passwords or confidential documents.
Everyday handoffs between phone and computer
- A link for your phone
- Paste a map, meeting or download link on your computer. On your phone, open it with one tap or copy it.
- Photos and screenshots for your laptop
- Select or paste screenshots on your phone. They appear as previews on your computer; download the originals one by one or together as a zip.
- A code or note from either device
- Send an address, a checklist or a one-time code you need on the other screen. Both devices can send in the same session.
How it compares
Most tools solve one part of the handoff. This page is built for quick, two-way transfers between your own devices.
- AirDrop and Quick Share
- Built into one platform and meant for devices nearby. This page works in any browser, such as iPhone to Windows or Android to Mac, even on different networks.
- Snapdrop, PairDrop and LocalSend
- Mostly for devices on the same local network, and LocalSend needs its app. Here a QR code or 6-character code connects devices anywhere, and the sender can leave once an upload completes.
- WeTransfer and file links
- One-way uploads that stay for days and often need an account. This is a short two-way session for notes, links and files that deletes itself.
- Online clipboards
- Usually text only, and anyone with the address can often read it for days. A session here pairs one other device, carries files too and ends within an hour.
Frequently asked questions
Up to 10 MiB per file · 25 MiB and 30 transfers per session · 15 minutes (extendable to 60)
Uploads stay on our server until this session expires. After an upload completes, both devices do not need to stay online.
How do I send text from my phone to my computer?
Start a session here, then scan the QR code, open the connection link or type the 6-character code on your other device. Paste a meeting link, an address or a note and send it. Copy it on the other device.
Can I send photos, screenshots and documents?
Yes. Add several files at once, drop them on the page or paste a screenshot. Images show a preview; other files download as attachments and are never run on this site. Save what you want to keep before the session ends.
Do both devices need to be on the same Wi-Fi?
No. Transfers go through our server, so any internet connection works: Wi-Fi, mobile data or a completely different network.
Do I need an app or an account?
No. Open this page in a current browser on both devices. There is nothing to install and nothing to sign up for.
What if I cannot scan the QR code?
Open this page on the other device and type the 6-character code shown under the QR code, or copy the connection link and send it to yourself. On phones, Share link opens the share sheet.
How big can files and messages be?
Up to 10 MiB per file, and 25 MiB or 30 transfers per session. Messages can hold 16 KiB; longer text is sent as a .txt file automatically.
How long do transfers stay, and can I extend the session?
A session starts with 15 minutes. The device that started it can add 15 minutes at a time, up to one hour in total. Everything is deleted when the session ends.
What happens when the session ends?
Access stops at expiry or when the owner ends the session. Temporary files are removed by cleanup. This is temporary server storage, not a permanent drive or end-to-end encrypted transfer.
Can I unsend something or delete everything?
Yes. Unsend removes one of your items from both devices at once. Ending the session deletes everything straight away.
Does the sending device need to stay open?
Only until its upload finishes. Transfers are stored for the rest of the session, so the other device can still copy or download them after the sender closes the page.
How do I know a file was downloaded?
Your own items show their status: Stored, then Visible once the other device lists them, then Downloaded when it saves a file. Image previews do not count as downloads.
What if a transfer or connection fails?
Check the connection and use Retry. A retry of an uncertain send keeps the same transfer ID to avoid duplicates. If the session expired, start a new one and send again. Saving a download is subject to your browser settings.
Is it end-to-end encrypted?
No. Transfers are stored on our server until the session ends, so only send what you would be comfortable storing temporarily on a server.
Is this suitable for sensitive documents?
No. Transfers are stored on our server until the session ends and are not end-to-end encrypted. Anyone holding the connection link can read and send. Use an approved, encrypted service for passwords, identity documents or confidential material.
Is this an alternative to AirDrop or Snapdrop?
For quick handoffs, yes. It works between iPhone, Android, Windows, Mac and Linux in the browser, even on different networks. It is built for small, short-lived transfers rather than large videos.
Which languages are available?
The tool and this guide are available in English, French, Spanish, German, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Japanese, Korean, Chinese and Arabic.
