Username generator

Build a shortlist of usernames from a word, a theme and a few simple controls. Generation runs in your browser.

Use an interest or invented word, not your full name or birthday.

Alphabet · Maximum length

Local letters use this page’s language. ASCII uses English words and a–z, 0–9. Latin accents are simplified; other scripts are not transliterated.

6–32 Unicode code points, including separators and numbers. Short limits can trim words.

Digits are random, not an availability check.

      Find a name that fits

Start with the purpose. For a gaming nickname, try a space word; for a creative profile, try an interest such as sketch. Leave the word blank to explore combinations without personal details.

Set the rules before comparing. Choose a maximum length and a separator allowed by the destination. Single-word style adds one themed word to an optional seed; word-pair style adds two. Copy one result or download the batch as plain text.

Read each candidate aloud, then check it on the destination service. Avoid birthdays, contact details and names that suggest you represent someone else. A username is public; it is not a password or a promise of privacy.

      Questions about usernames

      Are these usernames available?

No availability request is made. Another person may already use a result, and each service has its own character and naming rules. Check directly before choosing.

Can I use Arabic, Japanese or accented letters?

Local letters preserve supported Unicode letters and digits. Input is normalized, lowercased and punctuation is removed. ASCII mode simplifies Latin accents; it does not romanize other scripts. Some services accept only ASCII.

Why are some names shorter or trimmed?

Length is a maximum, not a target. Separators and the optional two digits count toward it. Small limits trim the final words and may leave fewer distinct ideas. Unicode code points can differ from a platform’s length counter.

      Where are favorites saved?

Only in local storage in this browser. They are not sent to a generation API or synced to an account. Browser clearing removes them, and storage restrictions may prevent saving. Download a text copy if you want to keep them.
