How to pick a random name
- Paste your list, one name per line, or start with an example list.
- Set Winners per draw and choose whether duplicate names count as extra tickets.
- Press Pick now. Copy or download the winners, or draw again from the names that are left.
Each line can hold up to 500 characters. With No repeats across draws on, the draw session panel lists the names already picked and those still available, so you can see who is left before the next draw.
Ways to use a random name generator
Choose raffle and giveaway winners, call on students, assign presenters, set a gift exchange order or select testers from a list of volunteers.
Questions about your draw
How do I pick a random name from a list?
Paste the names, one per line, set how many winners you need and press Pick now. The draw happens in your browser.
Can I pick more than one name at once?
Yes. Set Winners per draw to the number you need; a name is never picked twice in the same draw.
Are my names saved anywhere?
No. The list and recent results stay in this page’s memory only. Nothing is uploaded, and reloading the page clears them.
